Our Vision

In September 2023 our PCC spent time praying and reflecting on what we think God wants us to be focusing on for the next 12 months and beyond. As a result we produced our one year action plan below. This is a document that reflects our passion for people to come to know Jesus Christ and how we can join in with God is already doing in our local communities. The vision is split into 4 sections: worship, discipleship, fellowship and evangelism. These sections are directly influenced by the early church in Acts chapter 2: 42-47:

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

You can find the plan below and I urge you to take a prayerful look. I am asking the congregation at St Margaret’s to consider where they think God might be calling them to share their gifts to make this vision happen. Some of the goals are very achievable, in fact we are well on the way to completing quite a few of them! However, some of them are more aspirational and may not happen this year, but we are passionate that these goals will help St Margaret’s to grow in faith and in number.
